No from me - the bully in Coronation Street is Mason

KarenSmithsWeatherBoobs · 11/05/2024 13:50

DS has gone through school with a Mason. He's not a bad lad, so have to disagree with the naughty boy vibe.

It was the Sebastians and Harrys that have been little shites on his school journey.

It's a no from me. I don't like surnames as first names, but I suspect an awful lot of "normal" names started out that way - Martin, Duncan, Douglas, Graham, etc.

But please tell me it's not for a girl - just no.

MolkosTeenageAngst · 11/05/2024 13:58

No, I agree with those saying it makes them think of a naughty boy or a bully.

Berlinlover · 11/05/2024 14:00

It’s a Kardashian name so that’s a no from me.

NoSnowdrop · 11/05/2024 14:00

No

Conjures up images of a big, beefy bloke with a chip on his shoulder.

Els1e · 11/05/2024 14:01

Going against the grain here but I like it. I know one Mason and he’s a lovely lad.

princessrapunzel · 11/05/2024 14:32

I have a Mason so clearly i love it. Theres a few threads on here with opinions on this name and MN seems to hate it.
We just felt its a bit different but not to out there and it was the only name me and DH could agree on! He loves it and theres only one other Mason in his school.

NetMum2 · 11/05/2024 17:32

How about Max? Or Matthew?

LauderSyme · 11/05/2024 17:35

I am really surprised by the replies on this thread as I like Mason and it doesn't have negative connotations for me.

RogueFemale · 11/05/2024 17:35

Nope.
