Gorgeous choices!

My favourites are Mabel, Iris and Freya - gorgeous short, simple names that don’t get shortened and suit all ages. I particularly the vintage feel of Mabel and Iris, and they’re not too overused.

Charlotte is a solid classic but do you like Charlie / Lottie?

Phoebe is nice but it sounds a little comical to me because of Friends, that’s probably a personal thing though, and if I knew some real life Phoebes I’m sure that would change quickly.

Iris - love it. Supposed to be very trendy but I've never met one and I'm a teacher.
Mabel - quite sweet. Not overly keen on it.
Charlotte - love it. Wouldn't want to shorten it, it's so lovely as it is.
Freya - not keen personally but a goid, solid, popular name.
Phoebe - really like it.

Chatlotte is my favourite with Iris a close second.

great names - congratulations

Iris - mommy
Mabel
Charlotte
Freya
Phoebe

Love love Phoebe so underrated , then Charlotte and Mabel

Not really a fan of Iris or Freya they sound a bit blunt to me

Bluezoom · 08/05/2024 12:12

I love this list, all were on my list other than Charlotte. I like Charlotte too, but know a few my age which puts me off. Iris or Phoebe are my favourites. But I don’t think you can go wrong.

AnotherLauraPerson · 08/05/2024 12:34

Don’t like Iris at all, it’s very popular and I’m never sure why. Overused.

Feel like I know soooo many Freyas and Phoebes.

I like Mabel.

I work with children and apart from Mabel they are names I hear a lot.

NetMum2 · 08/05/2024 12:34

I love Charlotte and the nickname Lottie. If I had a girl she would have been a Charlotte or possibly Sofia.

Phoebe and Freya are nice, but I’m personally not as keen on Iris and Mabel (I think because I know a few dogs with that name!).

Theoldwoman · 08/05/2024 13:36

Charlotte is in my top ten.

Those are lovely choices! Each of these names carries a timeless charm and a sense of tradition.
Iris: A beautiful floral name with Greek origins, symbolizing the rainbow. It's elegant and understated, yet carries a sense of sophistication.

Unity, Susana or Jane

FlameTulip · 08/05/2024 15:51

Love Iris

HanaPales · 08/05/2024 15:57

Iris is one of my DDs names 😊
How about Elsie? Also traditional, very nice sound

FangsForTheMemory · 08/05/2024 16:14

Hate Mabel. The others are lovely.

Mumofgirls2017 · 08/05/2024 16:48

#1 iris
#2 mabel

Hannahspeltbackwards · 08/05/2024 16:49

I love Phoebe, closely followed by Freya.

CharlieBoo · 08/05/2024 18:36

Iris and Charlotte are lovely.. the best by far from your list.

Mabel is very of the moment in the old lady chic names.. lots of puppy’s here being called Mabel and seems to be getting popular.

Phoebe and Freya are ok, just a bit boring to me

Iris - okay in principle, but the sound of it isn't very nice.
Mabel - would you want to be called Mabel? Really?
Charlotte - deservedly popular
Freya - hate it
Phoebe - it ought to be nice, but feels dowdy

shoopshoopdedoo · 08/05/2024 20:30

I like them all! Phoebe is my favourite, followed by Freya and Iris. I do like Mabel but I think it’s having a moment right now, and that would put me off using it. My youngest is under one, and we meet far more Mabel’s at baby group than any of your other choices!

Mabel just makes me think of the popstar. Im guessing it's marmite name from what I'm hearing

I like Charlie! but I wouldn't shorten it to Lottie. I probably just keep Charlotte as I like the full name on its own

Love Iris and Mabel. I think Freya is pretty but too popular atm, Charlotte is boring to me and Phoebe is ok/average

kezzykicks · 11/05/2024 07:52

All lovely. My favourite is Iris
