I'm losing my mind trying to narrow the lists down further. Surname is Green if that helps.

Alice
Thea
Sadie
Rosie
Anna

Jude
Louis
Henry
William
Rowan

Alice or Sadie

Jude or William

Henry Green is a bit ‘Thomas the tank engine’

FloofyBear · 06/05/2024 15:51

Sadie and Jude for me

Happytimes123456 · 06/05/2024 15:52

Love Anna and Jude

Moveoverdarlin · 06/05/2024 15:54

Alice and William are my favourites. Classic, elegant, timeless.

Don’t like Thea or Sadie.

NetMum2 · 07/05/2024 13:06

Alice and Rosie are two of my favourite girls names but I agree with a previous poster that Rosie Green sounds like it could be on a paint chart!

I’d say William goes best with your surname. Not keen on Rowan and I think Jude is too short.

WaltzingWaters · 07/05/2024 13:13

Alice, Thea or Sadie.
I’m really not a fan of Anna.

All you boys names are nice. Jude is my favourite but I’m not sure it goes with Green too well. Louis or Henry I think would be my picks.

I like all of these names! But Jude Green sounds a bit abrupt and Sadie Green is a main character in a recent bestselling book - not a bad thing but an FYI as it might be mentioned!

@Jollytots34 Yes to Alice, Anna, Henry & William. Dislike the rest, particularly Rosie Green (which conjures up a pinkish green - I know someone who called their daughter Rosie Blue [surname] Brown, which sounds like a horrible bruise).

I love the name Sadie. I also like Anna, but coupled with Green as the surname, I immediately thought Anna Green Gables

It's Anne of Green Gables.

poolcrew · 07/05/2024 19:17

I know it's Anne of Green Gables but when you say it, the words can run together, and 'Anne of' sounds like Anna in certain accents (like my husband's Grin)

Sandysandwich · 07/05/2024 19:35

I love William, Rowan, Alice, Anna and Rosie.

shoopshoopdedoo · 07/05/2024 23:51

Alice or William

Jollytots34 · 08/05/2024 06:15

Thank you all for your input, very helpful. We've narrowed it down to Alice, Anna or Sadie. William and Henry. We may leave it as is and see what she or he suits once born X
