What do you think? I heard this name recently and loved it.

Jay o mee -

Great name if you live in a trailer in a trailer park.

Beachs · 02/05/2024 21:07

Jimerberly is that you 😂😂😂😂

CurlewKate · 02/05/2024 21:07

Jane is a good name...

jackstini · 02/05/2024 21:16

You are getting a hard time on here OP

All names are made up at some time or another!

I think if you spelt it Jaomi, like Naomi with a J, then people would pronounce it fine
I quite like the sound too

JimPansy · 02/05/2024 21:20

@CurlewKate , I love the name Jane but we decided the spelling and pronunciation issues would be too much. We went for something easier to live with instead.

Hiddendoor · 02/05/2024 21:37

I definitely prefer Jimberly amd Jimothy. Or Jimberbelle.

NeverHeardOfSuchTosh · 02/05/2024 21:44

BoohooWoohoo · 02/05/2024 19:47

Are you the Jimberley poster?

NeverHeardOfSuchTosh · 02/05/2024 21:44

It's awful. Another daft, made-up name.

Flyhigher · 03/05/2024 06:24

Jacobina
Jacolina
Jonique
Jonathina
Jamesina

Jimerberly · 03/05/2024 06:31

It's divine 🙂‍↔️

Jimberleigh · 03/05/2024 06:33

So precious IMO!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 03/05/2024 06:44

Don't be put off by the mocking, it’s a nice name

Hiker50 · 03/05/2024 07:00

I teach in a London school. There are loads of non traditional very unusual names. No one really bats an eye anymore. We don't assume traditional names are spelt traditionally (Lillly or Jadde) and we don't really comment.
If you like the name then go for it.

I've spent my own life having to spell my name, explain how it's pronounced (the way you would think) and agree that yes it sounds very like x other name.

So my observation is that the general public are not as enlightened as your school.

OP needs to remember that her child will have to live with the name - not her.

ByNewSnake · 03/05/2024 07:41

I've a friend pronounced Na-om-amy and everyone just calls her Naomi anyway

Jimoline · 03/05/2024 07:41

How about Jimberly, less confusion with pronunciation.

Riapia · 03/05/2024 08:00

Pozz · 02/05/2024 21:55

Aw yes I looove Balonz!

Maybe Jalonz? It’s less common.

MyLovelyPurse · 02/05/2024 20:07

great! Have you also considered:
Java
Jophia
Jamelia
Jarry
Jeorghe

Or other random girls’ (or boys’) names with a J added at the beginning. It’s so important to be Junique!

I know this because I have decided to be unique and edgy by having tattoos and lip fillers. I’m a rebel, me.

Junique is lovely.
So much better than Jooneek.

That name is a Tragedeigh.

😃

DaisyChain505 · 15/08/2024 10:38

No, no, no.
