Ava Adore

Like the song. No, it's not a joke 😬
Adore would be the middle name and Ava the first name.. I know Ava is incredibly popular, I think it is a very pretty name however.
I'm not expecting positive feedback but just interested to see if anyone actually likes it!

Not aware of the song, like both names but used together it reminds me of an exotic dancer or adult worker of some sort.

It sounds like a perfume from Poundland

“….you’ll always be my whore”

It’s a no from me.

🤢

I completely understand what people are saying about the 'whore' thing, but there are many names that have come from songs with a sexual connotation, e.g. Roxanne, Lola.

I don't like any of them @CoralWasp . If I had to pick, I'd pick Lola and Roxanne before Ava Adore, and that's saying something.

It's a boring overused first name with a dodgy middle name.

SnapdragonToadflax · 28/04/2024 18:48

Love the song, one of my favourite bands, but I'm not sure I would just because of the lyrics. How about Darcey?

Then again, I did have Polly on my list for a girl...

Yeah but this is brazen and it’s also a stupid name. Have better standards for your daughter.

fevertotell · 28/04/2024 18:54

I love it...perfect...as Billy would say.

Yeah but not quite as obvious as what you've picked.

Ava doesn't give those connotations.

Ava Adore does.

Well the equivalent would be to just call her Ava.

Adding the surname makes it much more specific. Do I really need to explain this to you? I'm thinking probably not.

LiterallyOnFire · 28/04/2024 19:39

X post.

I think hope OP is on a wind up.

Awful.

Pocketfullofdogtreats · 28/04/2024 19:45

Well no-one uses their middle name, but I imagine that anyone you said that to would say "a door?".

Stressyfab · 28/04/2024 20:04

You might get a billy shout out, I remember him posting about another little Ava Adore

Nobody has an issue with Ava in that sense, the name itself doesn't have those connotations.

I'm convinced this must be a wind up. Nobody in their right mind would consider this combination acceptable. It shows a complete lack of respect for your unborn child to be honest (if there is indeed an unborn child to be named).

80schildhood · 29/04/2024 13:47

How many baby Roxanne's or even Lola's do you know these days?? In the past ten/fifteen years I have only heard of dogs with these names not babies. Probably because most sane people don't want to name their daughters after songs about sex workers.
