Mediterranean Baby Names

Looking for some inspiration for some strong Mediterranean Baby Names?

Currently I've got:
Theodora - like Dora but would prefer full name. Not very feminine?
Athena - really like but is it girly enough?
Lucia - pronounced loo-see-a, too many different pronounciations?
Sofia - too popular?
Serafina - again will it get shortened? Very pretty, love girlier names

Struggling more with boys names. So far I like Hugo but know a few dogs with that name. Puts me off.

Thank you.

Do you mean names to do with the sea?

Aphrodite or Circe - could you get any more feminine names, and both are related to the Med? Why does it need to be Mediterranean?

I love Delphine.

Theodora - I think this might get mistaken for Theodore at first glance
Athena - I think this does sound girly (not one of my favourites personally though)
Lucia - love this, and you usually hear people’s names when you first meet them, so pronunciation issues would only be occasional
Sofia - love but agree it’s very popular
Serafina - pretty, but a bit frilly for me - I like Sephy for short though

I would choose Lucia or Sofia your list, personally

Other girls name ideas

Alicia
Amaya
Gabriella
Francesca
Adelina
Anastasia
Eleni
Amalia

Hugo is a great choice - I don’t think of it as a dog name at all

Or

Sebastian
Atticus
Tobias
Elias
Nicholas / Nico
Leon

Mediterranean as namrs youd likely hear in Greece, Greek Islands, Spain, Spanish Islands etc.
I would prefer a name that is less likely to be shortned.
