So are next baby boy will be given all family names but we can't decide which way to name him. He will be given the same first name but the middle names are causing caos!
We have agreed to some form of Michael and a male equivalent to Monica for the middle names (so far we have come up with Monic/monico and mon). We know there is some variant of augustine for monica due to saints but we don't really like it....

Which goes best????
Ronan Michael Mon
Ronan Mon Michael
Ronan Michael Monic
Ronan Monic Michael
Ronan Monic Mike
Ronan Mike Monic
Ronan Mikie Monic
Ronan Monic Mikie
Ronan Michael Monico

I know people might not like the names (were not changing!!!) But would appreciate advice on which you would prefer. Even if you can give us a first and second preference! Ot any other suggestions with Monica equivalent and michael as middle name? We would love to tribute both loved ones in middle names.
Thanks so much.

How long is your surname? Is it 1, 2, 3 or more syllables? It might help to work out which will flow better ☺️

My favourite from your list is Ronan Mon Michael as I feel that flows best. Another option could be Ronan Monico Mike - I always think it flows best if you vary the syllables but that’s just my preference.

Dominic? Hmm not quite

Walkthelakes · 20/04/2024 21:13

Of the ones you’ve put Ronan Michael Mon

GreenCereal · 20/04/2024 21:14

The Monica/Camino anagram is a great idea if you are Catholic (sorry for assuming if you are not!)

Walkthelakes · 20/04/2024 21:14

Camino is a good call though as an anagram. Doesn’t it mean path/the way in Spanish

Walkthelakes · 20/04/2024 21:14

If you are catholic it’s got the pilgrimage connotations too

Mcd939393 · 20/04/2024 21:19

Surname is one syllable!! Thanks!

This is the best flow for me too.

Yeah, which is lovely, regardless of faith. Sounds like a leader.

Ronan Michael Nica - could Nica be short for Monica?

theduchessofspork · 20/04/2024 22:11

I think.. Ronan Michael Monicus

Traditionally if you are masculinising a female name you either stick o or us on the end (Marius, Barbaro).

Mon is odd and also makes me think of mons pubis, monic is too like manic and Monico is too Victoria Beckam

Or Monica was St Augustine’s mother so you could go for that

Michael is much nicer than Mike or Mikey

OnHerSolidFoundations · 20/04/2024 22:39

Monique is nice

OnHerSolidFoundations · 20/04/2024 22:40

Michael is great!

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 20/04/2024 22:53

Ronan Michael Monico seems to flow well. People may think you’ve misspelled Monaco but that’s not really a big deal in the middle name spot and Mon/Monic looks silly to me (and like a pp reminds me of mons pubis and manic respectively).
