Like them both equally. Which one goes best with your surname?

NatalieJane · 01/04/2008 09:30

Ethan.

biglips · 01/04/2008 09:31

Ethan

Rhys - Ethan sounds a bit wet because it has no hard consonants (apologies to any mothers of Ethans out there but OP asked for opinions).

MrsBadger · 01/04/2008 10:03

I like them both - in fact both were on the shortlist but dd was a girl

I did worry about the Estuary-ish pronunciation of Ethan as 'Eefan' though

ktmoomoo · 01/04/2008 10:04

ethan lovely name

imaginaryfriend · 01/04/2008 10:11

I'm really sorry biglips but I don't like either. Ethan is the better I guess.

hippipotami · 01/04/2008 10:13

Definately not Ethan. But that is purely based on the fact that all the Ethans we have come across have not been very nice boys.

Rhys would be the better one.

But am not overly keen on either.

Sorry.

Heifer · 01/04/2008 10:17

not that keen on either but would go with Rhys.

Evan was on our shortlist - but found out was expecting a girl very early on so didn't look into any more.

Twinkie1 · 01/04/2008 10:19

Rhys

The couple of Etans I know always end up as EFAN mind you that was when I lived in SE London!

ipanemagirl · 01/04/2008 10:19

I like both very much.

But dh says we can't have an Ethan because he says it's way too popular now.

MadameCh0let · 01/04/2008 15:10

Ethan. Americans are using Reece for girls, so that makes me prefer Ethan by a long way.

BrownSuga · 01/04/2008 15:12

Ethan

collision · 01/04/2008 16:09

neither

too popular and will date imho

midnightexpress · 01/04/2008 16:10

Rhys, but it's very Welsh. Are you?

MissHaversham · 01/04/2008 16:11

can't tand Rhys.

Ethan ok

Pinkchampagne · 01/04/2008 16:18

Ethan is the better of the two

Miaou · 01/04/2008 16:23

Ethan, but agree it is v. popular (if that bothers you)

3andnomore · 01/04/2008 16:25

I like both, but personally prefer the name Rhys!

biglips · 02/04/2008 09:43

well i havent met a RHYS or a ETHAN yet soooo Ethan seems to be a good name.
