I like it. But I seem to really like American names. (not a fan of Randy though lol!). And I also seem to like surnames as first names.

although I'd assume it was meant to be McAuley or MacAuley!

Don't particularly like Macauley but I do quite like Mack

Don't like the sound of it and everyone would immediately think of the actor as it's not a common name.

I like it but it would probably be shortened to Mac.

Thinking about the future... there is a road near us called Macauley Avenue, if your son were to move there one day and replaced his house number with 'Macauley House' his name and address would look pretty impressive on credit and bank loan requests.
