Are Ruby and Chloe already dated?

Just wondering. I really like them, but I get the impression that they are getting less popular rather quickly. What's your personal impression?

I wouldn’t consider them especially contemporaneous. Chloë/é/e is very 90s. Ruby is quintessentially 2010s. Both will date to those generations for a while.

I wouldn’t consider either of them classic yet.

Zoë is more classic and less easily dated IMHO if that appeals?

Zoe hasn't fluctuated as badly since the mid nineties. Its far nicer than Ruby and Chloe though not particularly nice either imo. I like that it sounds like it can be from any walk of life or time, probably true to a lesser extent for Chloe and not true for Ruby.

Agreed I work with a woman called Zoe who's in her 50's and it's fits

I have a 2 year old Ruby! She often gets compliments on her name. I think it's a name that will easily be in the top hundred for years and years. I definitely don't see it as a 'Sharon, Karen' name etc, I think it will age well.
It's dipped enough that there isn't a huge amount of tiny Ruby's so shouldn't bump in to too many, like most people have said it's mainly 11/12 years olds 😊

Chloe is. Ruby isn't
