Thoughts on Leonidas as a middle name for a boy
It's either leonidas or Theodore for middle name

I prefer Theodore - it’s a really smart, timeless name.

Leonidas is the name of a chocolate shop present in France and the Benelux countries I believe, but if you like it go for it.

It's a very, very famous brand of Belgian chocolate sold all over the world. Personally I couldn't knowingly name my baby after a brand (even if the brand is delicious).

I think chocolate...

No I'd be thinking of the chocolate shop(which I love) so it's a no from me as like a PP said i wouldn't knowingly give my child the same name as a popular brand

I know a young Leonidas! Known by his full name within his family (Greek parents) but as Leo to everyone else. Also know a Lambros, which has a similar vibe maybe (hard to know though as I'm not Greek).

I have always loved the Spartan king, Leonidas, as an historical character. After I read the Steven Pressfield's book, "Gates of Fire", about the battle of Thermopylae, I liked him even more. Apparently it was due to be made into a movie with Bruce Willis suggested as playing Leonidas, but "300" beat them to the post. It's a pity because I read that the author wanted him in the role, and he would have been perfect. It would have given him another role to the standard of "The Sixth Sense".

All that aside, I think Leonidas is a fabulous name. But then, so is Theodore.
