Don't like, sorry. Julia is pretty, though.

ChipButty · 25/03/2008 21:50

My lovely sister has that name but I think it is of an era and probably wouldn't choose it.

pootleflump · 25/03/2008 21:52

Same as berolina - could handle Julia but not Julie

dizzydixies · 25/03/2008 21:53

julia pretty not too keen on julie sorry

ja9 · 25/03/2008 21:54

really don't like it. sorry. never have.

despite having 2 very lovely close friends called julie...

ChickenSoupDragon · 25/03/2008 21:54

Oddly enough I did a double take at a name tag on a reception girl's peg this morning. I misread it as Julie and thought "not heard that on a child since I was a child" but when I looked again it was Julia. Which I think is prettier (less harsh?).

Julia is better. How about Juliette?

bluenosesaint · 25/03/2008 22:13

Don't like it. Sorry.

TurkeyLurkey · 25/03/2008 22:14

WestCountryLass · 25/03/2008 22:26

I love Juliette!

CristinaTheAstonishing · 25/03/2008 22:34

I like Yulia or Youlia (not sure how it would be spelt in English). Dh wasn't too keen.

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 25/03/2008 22:36

really lovely nametaken and a totally different entity to Juliet

Julie is lovely- do you like the Undertones?

nametaken · 25/03/2008 22:49

Never heard of the Undertones, I was thinking of Julie Christie in her Dr Zhivago film

CristinaTheAstonishing · 25/03/2008 22:50

Then maybe you want Lara.

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 25/03/2008 22:51

Julie christie is truly beautiful

it is an underused name

mazzystar · 25/03/2008 22:54

Julie is a schoolie

I think its pretty, but it just reminds people who grew up in the 80s about girls they didn't like at school

Julia is nicer, Julianne as well

BoysAreLikeDogs · 25/03/2008 22:56

Julia is a beautiul name

emkana · 25/03/2008 22:56

I like it, I think it sounds lovely.

Might make a difference though that I'm not British thoguh.
