Ok..........thoughts on the name Nathaniel, is it very popular?

ie was it really popular a few years ago, also what about Zachariah (please excuse the spelling if incorrect) Thank you in advance dh and I are having a bit of a frustrating time compromising on boy names!:0

Aliway - we must have similar taste. Nathan and Zach were both on our shortlist for ds2 (who was actually dd). We wanted Zach - not zachariah, but couldn't agree on spelling zac or zach so ditched it altogether.
ds1 is joel.

Nathaniel is a beautiful name - I only know one who unfortunately gets called Nat which has a hard sound to it.
