I’m expecting twin boy and girl in June.I really need name ideas! I already have a Freddie, Olivia and Sophie and need ideas for next two already have a few ideas! Would kinda like the first name to be more common than middle. Last name begins with S and it’s eight letters long ending in d.

Not at all keen on shortened names ending in 'ie', 'y' or names rhyming with 'silly'.
Choose a name that is suitable for an adult as well as a child, not something infantile.
If you like a shortened or a nickname, register the child with the full version of the name so they have more options when they're an adult.

I’ve always loved the name august especially as I and my brother were both born in august I don’t really care if one of their middle names were august because it’s a special name to us

My favourite of your girls names are Annabelle, Aimee and Eva. I also really like Phoebe, Mollie, Poppy and Matilda.
I personally prefer Lottie as a nn for Charlotte.

Boys - I love George - I have one! I also love Harry, Max and Edward. I like Leo, Milo and Jasper too.

I’m not sold on any of your boy first names tbh, but I am biased as all your names are the most popular (apart from Jasper and Milo which I think are for pets). I have the most popular name in my age group and I always hated there being so many of us at school and work.

Amy is OK but it tends to b shortened to Ames.

I know a few Amys - Amy, Amey, Aimee and Amie. I usually check if Aimee is Ay-mee not Em-ay and that Amie is not Am-ee. (cf, Esme, Esmee, Ezmae)

Thanks y’all we just had a talk with kids on names. Freddie liked Aimee Ruth and George Milo. Liv liked Poppy Ann and Jasper Finn but Sophie was tied between Annabelle Ruth and Lottie Paige for girl and then Herbie Luke for boy!! We are probs gonna make decision in march but not tell the kids ! Thanks for the amazing suggestions xx

Don't let the DC decide on their sibling's name. Your child could end up being named after their best friend that week or a CeeBeebies character.

It was a big mistake to let George and Sophia name their sibling, and Tinky-Winky refuses to forgive me and DH.

I love the name Lottie so that would be one of my favourites along with June as a middle name. Although I like the idea of Lillian as the middle name and for that you couldn’t really have lottie or Tilly. Maybe Eva Lilian

boys I think Edward Luke is lovely.

although I’ve just realised that Eva Lilian and Edward Luke would have the same initials if that would bother you. I think Edward and Eva sound lovely together
