Goodness me, poor old Romeo Casanova Valentino, he's got some pressure on him to be good with the ladies. I feel sorry for him when he goes through his spotty geek phase when he thinks that girls are boring and silly.

harleyd · 23/03/2008 10:45

i like it

Boco · 23/03/2008 10:46

I mean, it's like calling a boy Great Big Horny Love Machine. It's not kind.

alfiesbabe · 23/03/2008 10:53

I think the fact that they've chosen to be in the news says a lot. If you like unusual names, then fine, go for it. But this couple clearly want to broadcast it to the nation to make some kind of statement ('Hey we're whacky and interesting'I guess)and personally I find that a bit odd and a little unfair on the children.

ChickenSoupDragon · 23/03/2008 11:23

Best start bullying them now and be done with it.

AbbeyA · 23/03/2008 20:14

Cruel to the children!

beaniesteve · 23/03/2008 20:15

Isis is a gorgeous name.

WigWamBam · 23/03/2008 20:16

Achilles Spartacus Mars??

Nope, not an April Fool's wind-up.

Poor children.

babblington · 23/03/2008 20:28

I have an Isis and she is wonderful!

melpomene · 23/03/2008 20:30

Isis is lovely. The rest are dreadful.

Achilles would be a good name for a dog though... "Achilles! Heel!"

beaniesteve · 23/03/2008 20:32

Infact... I had forgoton about Isis, and now I have just added it to my list of possible names.

I know an Ismene too which is rather sweet (Iz - meenie).

JackieNo · 23/03/2008 20:40

I thought Ismene was pronounced Iss-men? (grave accent on the first e)

JackieNo · 23/03/2008 20:40

(actually more like ees-men)

Janni · 23/03/2008 20:44

Lol melpomene!

What's the betting that these children will call their own Robert, Anne, James and Elizabeth

Jacanne · 23/03/2008 20:44

I always thought it was Is-may-nay

DforDiva · 23/03/2008 20:46

wow, i thought was joke at first untill saw the link.
taste or what?

babblington · 23/03/2008 21:26

yes prolly more like Is Mah Nay but Izmeenie is how it ends up being said.

beaniesteve · 23/03/2008 21:30

"The only downside is that we can't get pencils or mugs with their names on but we can live with that."

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 23/03/2008 21:31

The two eldest girls' names sound like porn names. The eldest son's name is going to haunt him forever if he can't get laid. I actually like Isis, and wanted it for my DDs, but DH said that Isis is some kind of spooky Egyptian goddess (who possibly transports people across the Styx? can't remember...), so it didn't seem right, and the youngest son, well he'd better join the army.

donnie · 23/03/2008 21:32

all dreadful and will cause trouble in later life.

I know an Isis - her older brother is called Tiger FFS.

babblington · 23/03/2008 21:35

isis is a river in oxford, and an egyptian goddess of fertility and 'everything'. and my daughter. I know obscurely of an isis with a brother called Merlin (ffs). My Isis has a sister called Delphi, and they are both really rather lovely.

jenniejennie · 23/03/2008 21:43

I think the parents need medication....
