Shouldn't it be due a comeback? I think it sounds kind of earthy and folky

I reckon that Keith needs another 10 - 20 years before it’s starting to feel fresh and ripe for a revival.
At the moment it’s probably still a bit too much of a ‘grandad’ name. And not in a good way.

Bbq1 · 02/02/2024 23:26

Kevin?

Bbq1 · 02/02/2024 23:29

Needmorelego · 02/02/2024 23:33

I just know there will come a time when our kids have kids and are choosing between Janet and Tricia or Trevor and Barry 😂😂😂

All lovely names.

SueBranchers · 03/02/2024 11:29

And : Carl
Simon
Damon

I don't see that Simon is in the same bracket as Carl or Damon. Simon is a timeless biblical name on a par with David or Matthew whereas the latter two are very 60's sort of "glamour boy" names. That's like saying Ruth or Elizabeth are in the same league as Brenda or Shirley.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 03/02/2024 17:56

Needmorelego · 02/02/2024 13:29

@Hobbi I think the Ph is meant to have more of a 'Thuh' sound - like Theo - but many people say it more F like.
If that makes sense.
"Thuh-eebee" 🤔

You havent actually been saying that have you? To people called Phoebe (Feebie)?

Needmorelego · 03/02/2024 20:28

@soupfiend I've always said/heard it as "Feebie" - but I actually thought I was saying it wrong - the same as I say/hear Keith as Keef, Theo as Feo.
I have now learned I wasn't wrong after years of thinking I was insulting any Phoebe's I met 😂
