Middle name for Heidi?

The week she is due and DH has decided to p*ss me off to no end

DS has a middle name, a nod to my dad. I would like DD to have a middle name , we have one with a slight nod to my side but DH has vetoed it

So I liked Grace as I liked that as a 1st name, he vetoed as his siblings child (who we don’t see/rarely see and he doesn’t speak to this sibling) has that middle name. It’s number 2 most common in UK or something high like that but anyway

Rose is nice but I just don’t have a feeling it’s her middle name? It might change when I see her. I don’t hate it I don’t love it.

louise is the other he vetoed and was tied to my side. Because years ago when he was young (talking 10 years ago) he went on dates with a lady named Louise. Yep

im a bit wound up and heavily pregnant. I’d love suggestetions as I really want her to have a middle name I love my sons full name and it does actually ring well! Middle name included

I do like Elizabeth a bit

open to other names :) and we’ve looked at the other women in our families close and they don’t have names we’d like to use as a middle name

Give Heidi your maiden name as a middle name.

CuriousGeorge80 · 17/01/2024 20:02

I think both Elizabeth and Rose would be lovely.

How about:

  • Florence
  • Isobel
  • Maeve
  • Annabelle

Is there a name on your DH’s side you could chose? Seeing as your DS got a nod to your family might be nice for your DD to get a name from his?

What's your middle name? Could you give her the same and she be named after you? Or is there a female variation of your partners name that could be used and she's named after him? Xx

gemma19846 · 17/01/2024 22:32

Heidi Grace is lovely

Not Louise its very common as a middle name for 30/40s

Heidi Jayne goes nice but again abit common in older generations

Heidi Rose is also nice

I think it needs to be a one syllable name

Heidi May?

Sophierx89 · 18/01/2024 06:52

I immediately thought Heidi Louise! But I love Heidi Rose, Heidi Elizabeth, Heidi Jane, Heidi Lily. I chose a middle name that meant nothing to me for my daughter and I love it, it's Mia. Heidi Mia could sound cute!
