Help!! Due in 3 Weeks and baby boy still hasn’t got a name!

As the title says, I am due with our first baby, a boy in less than 3 weeks and we still haven’t decided on a name!

Please give me all your suggestions!

Me and DH like Reuben and Harrison, but aren’t in love with either. If DS had been a girl, names like Eden and Delilah/Lilah were on our list. Ideally want something with 2/3 syllables as our last name is shorter, and nothing ending in the ie/y sound due to where we live and the regional accent! I’d also like something not super popular, and something that has nickname potential (if DS wants one of those in future!)

Please help!

We found boys names hard and these were some of our ideas. The name we went with has a 'y' ending though.

Don't fret about having the name before baby is born though. Our ds didn't have a name for about 10 days. We tried a different name each day until one stuck.

Thank you for this!

We have said we’re hoping he’ll come out and he’ll just ‘look’ like a name! Like that idea of trying out different ones until one sticks though!

Think sometimes it nice to wait until they arrive, because u can see if something suits the child.

Ours didn’t have names until 2-3 weeks after they were born, we tried out different ones. Don’t panic it will get sorted!

If you like Eden it works just as well for a boy - I know a male Eden and he really suits the name

Boys names are much harder than girls names! We had a name we thought we liked but it didn't suit DS at all so it took 6 hours for us to settle on the one we love

ZoomerDinosaur · 31/12/2023 21:35

Three of the four names you mentioned are Old Testament, either the names of people or places. I don't know your faith background, so my suggestions may be a little too much, but I'm trying to keep the flavour. Avoiding the ending sounds you don't want, but some of the nicknames may have them.
