Lottie or Dottie

Which one do you prefer? I don't want to use the traditional longer names Charlotte or Dorothy. Be kind, baby here (nearly 2 weeks old, she needs a name!) thanks.

Charlotte on birth certificate, nice classy name for the future in case she becomes a Judge, Professor, Prime Minister etc but Lottie to everyone else.

Definately not Dottie, for goodness sake!

I love Lottie and think it works as a stand alone name.

Lottie, love it but couldn't use it.
It works as a stand alone name and from my experience you'd be surprised how few people in the real world know it's a shortening of Charlotte.

DS 6 best friend is Dottie - I love it. She gets called Dots a lot though

Prefer it to Lottie but would personally choose a longer name and shorten to Dottie
