A sister for Imogen

Trying to help my SIL come up with some name ideas for DD2 due next year. Sister is Imogen. They like names that are classic but also more unusual/lesser used. Ideally two syllables or more with nickname potential. Surname is uncommon and starts with P. Freya was on the table for DD1 but they’ve gone off it now. Please braindump as it’s all to play for at the moment!

My name is Imogen and my sister is Felicity if that helps. But we are in our forties and not babies so possibly old fashioned.

Our eldest is Imogen. Her sister is Elizabeth and if we have another they would be Harriet. I also like Annabel.

There are lots of possible nicknames with Elizabeth.

My immediate thought was Harriet but on reflection that’s because I have read a lot of Jilly Cooper Grin

I’d stay on the Shakespearean theme.

Miranda
Beatrice
Emilia
Viola
Rosalind
Hermione
Cressida

The ones that spring to mind for me are mostly shorter names.

How about Melissa? Imogen and Melissa sound rather nice together and lots of nickname potential.

I also think the following would work well:

Clara
Daisy
Phoebe

I have an Imogen and a Harriet (Hattie) and I also read a lot of Jilly Cooper 😆 So you could equally have Bella or Octavia x

Imogen and Martha. Like earlier suggestions of Harriet, Alice or Juliet also.

Elspeth.

I love the previous suggestions of Marianne or Elizabeth as Imogen pairings.

I'm going to throw Jemima and Zadie into the ring. I think any of the Shakespearean names would also fit wonderfully.
