Hi all, I'm new here and I'm expecting my little girl in April. I have the name Willow in mind but I'm just wondering what all of you out there think about different nicknames. I don't think 'willy' is too appropriate especially as she grows up. Thanks! 😁

Just call her Willow

I wouldn't think to shorten Willow at all.

Certainly not to Willy. Even Williams don't get called Willy nowadays.

Though I did once teach a child called W.i.l.l.i.a.m W:i:l:l:c:o:c:k:s who got really upset one week because the girls were calling him 'Willy Willy the Cock'. 😥🙈

Willow could just remain Willow. Or there is simply Will. I think Billie works also. Another suggestion: Lolo? (sounds like Lowe-Lowe) Lolo could plausibly evolve into Lolly.

So I actually think there are a lot of options

I know it's not the same but our female cat is called Willow, but 50% of the time we call her Wilbur (I know thats a boys name though so no idea why we do it, we just do)
