Similar but less popular- Oliver, Leo, Max

We love Oliver, Leo, Max or Freddie. However, all are incredibly popular. Any suggestions of similar feel but less popular.

I also like Wilfred, Theodore, Sebastian, Caspar but DH isn't keen. We don't want anything too unusual but a little less overused would be good.

I really like Wilfred, Max and Leo as well all lovely names.

My DC have relatively popular names still don't know many of that name, and none in the same class at school

Just bear in mind popular names are not as popular as in previous generations due to a much larger variety of names being used. Being called Max now is nothing like being called Dan or John in the 80s.

DC has never been at school or nursery with an Oliver or a Leo. In fact I don't think I know a Leo in the local area at all. A couple of Ollies at baby groups, and one Freddie and one Max at school.

Other names:
Felix
Henry
Finn
Rex
Robin
Jasper
Reuben
Milo
Otto

Love Wilfred and Caspar. And Sebastian.

I agree with PP that there’s more of a variety of names about right now - but I do think your top 4 are fairly overdone

But if you both really like the names Oliver, Leo, Max and Freddie, choose one of them! They are great names.
I agree with previous posters, so many names around nowadays.

I have a Leo - it wasn’t common at all when I had him a decade ago.
i also loved -
Ellis (would’ve chosen this too as first name but his dad wanted it as middle)
Milo / Miles
Casper
Oscar
Killian

I have a Max and still love it and more importantly he loves it too because he says it’s cool!

Max, Leo and Freddie are the most popular names amongst young boys (birth to 3yr) that I've come across. They are lovely names. Haven't come across any Olivers that age yet (but do know Olives and Olivias).
