Long name for Tallie?

ZinniaB · 09/10/2023 09:33

I’d love to use Tallie day to day but I’d like a long name for the birth certificate to give options throughout life (just my preference).

What are your favourites from this list and do you have any other suggestions? TIA

Natalia
Tallulah
Talitha
Thalia (not so keen on this one)

I like Thalia /Tahlia (the different spellings have different origins).

Natalie would also work.

From your list I like Talitha and Natalia the best. Talitha is a lovely, under-used name.

Taliesin - this is a Welsh name and can be for a girl or boy

Seryse · 09/10/2023 09:58

I was just about to say Taliesin (tally-es-in) too ❤️

LadyMcLadyface · 09/10/2023 10:01

I know a Tala, pretty name

SkyeBlue28 · 09/10/2023 10:27

Just reading the thread title I was thinking Tallulah. I also like the suggestion above of Thalia. Tallie seems like an obvious nickname for
those two.

Love Talitha

Mumofgirls2017 · 09/10/2023 10:35

I like Tallulah and Thalia

maybe stretch but could consider Matilda?

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 09/10/2023 10:52

Talicia. Talina. Taliyah. Italia. Letalia. Catalina.

PickledScrump · 09/10/2023 11:14

Talulah or Talitha.

Inkypot · 09/10/2023 11:15

I'd say it's mostly short for Natalie but if you like Tallie then just go with Tallie. It's a really lovely name and works fine as it is.

Sorry @ZinniaB but I really dislike Tallulah (and spelling variants).

Taliesin is traditionally a boy's name.

cherryassam · 09/10/2023 11:20

The Tallie I know is an Atalanta

I think Natalia is lovely though and works well for Tallie

Ididntmeantoyou · 09/10/2023 11:20

Taliesin was a poet. Seems a strange choice of name for a girl.
The pronunciation is Tal-YESS-in

DacwMamYnDwad · 09/10/2023 14:30

Talisa
Natalia

The Tallie I know is an Anastasia!

17caterpillars1mouse · 09/10/2023 15:05

I love Talitha, it's a name with history but is relatively unknown and not uses often. love Tallie too.

I do like Tallulah and know one in her mid 30s but feel you have to be quite extraverted to suit it (she is). She's never been called Tallie though

I know quite a few Natalia's (dds go to catholic school with a large Eastern European population). Its nice enough. They all seem to go by their full name though

Not a fan of Thalia

I would definitely go with Talitha. Beautiful name

Dogsitterwoes · 09/10/2023 15:08

Tallulah makes me think of the song and character from Bugsy Malone. My name is Tallulah...

Scutterbug · 09/10/2023 15:10

I love Tallulah.

theduchessofspork · 09/10/2023 23:43

I like Natalia best

theduchessofspork · 09/10/2023 23:45

.. Talitha is fine

Don’t like Talulah (well I do, but I wouldn’t want to be called it) and Thalia sounds like a medical condition
