Hi, I have managed to shorten my very long list down to these 8 names for my baby girl, so please give me your thoughts on them:
Rosalie, Tate, Maeve, Romy, Thea, Ruby, Zoey, Juno
I really want to hear other peoples opinions as I dont want to make the wrong choice, also if you have any similar name ideas please let me know!

Mooshamoo · 06/10/2023 00:49

I quite like Tate.

crumblingschools · 06/10/2023 00:54

Is there a reason you are going with Zoey spelling?

xxchinese · 06/10/2023 00:55

I like Tate although I think that's more of a boys name but I loveee Ruby I was gonna call my baby girl that if he was a she :)

bonbon2023 · 06/10/2023 00:56

Romy

FrostieBoabby · 06/10/2023 00:57

Ruby is the only one I like.

Somanycats · 06/10/2023 00:58

I only like Ruby. I would like Zoë if you used that spelling.

RosaCaramella · 06/10/2023 01:03

Like in order of preference:

  1. Rosalie
  2. Zoey
  3. Thea
  4. Romy
  5. Maeve
  6. Ruby
  7. Juno
  8. Tate
greengobbledygook · 06/10/2023 02:06

My 3 month old is called Romy so I'm bias. We get lots of compliments on her name. Though occasionally she gets called Rommy (not by us obviously).

Theoldwoman · 06/10/2023 02:12

Ruby is the only one I like

MariePaperRoses · 06/10/2023 02:14

Rosalie, Tate, Maeve, Romy, Thea, Ruby, Zoey, Juno

I like Romy.

mathanxiety · 06/10/2023 04:51

How about Cleo or Leonie?

Robotalkingrubbish · 06/10/2023 04:55

Olika · 06/10/2023 04:56

Ruby

rubydoobydoo · 06/10/2023 04:59

Rosalie - love
Tate - really don't like this
Maeve - ok
Romy - love
Thea - nice, but don't love it
Ruby - love it but it got quite popular a few years ago.
Zoey - love it - love this spelling too.
Juno - not keen.

CurlewKate · 06/10/2023 05:35

Juno is my current favorite name.

Loub55 · 06/10/2023 05:47

Love Rosalie.

I did consider it as I like Rosie but I wanted it to be a shortened version of something and not keen on Rosemary

LeonardTheLeopard · 06/10/2023 05:51

In order of preference:
Juno - love it, fun, strong meaning, unusual but classical origins
Thea - pretty, not to common
Zoey - nice but prefer it spelt the traditional way Zoe
Rosalie - pretty and not too over used
Ruby - nice but v v overused
Meave - ok but odd to use unless you are Irish
Romy - reminds me of Boris Johnson who just called his daughter this. Also feels weak and insubstantial.
Tate - boys’ name and not a pretty sound.

Hurdygurdy12 · 06/10/2023 05:55

I have a Romy and I’m fucked off it’s getting so popular. So any of them except Romy. Thanks 😊

garlictwist · 06/10/2023 06:01

Tate is a surname. Ruby is quite popular. Not keen on Juno. The rest are ok.

WaitingfortheTardis · 06/10/2023 06:19

Maeve, Thea and Ruby are my favourites, I'm not keen on Tate, Zoey or Juno. The others are middling.

whosaidtha · 06/10/2023 06:28

Tate is definitely a boys name and I would hate to be called that.
I like Zoe but dislike the y on the end and I think it would be a pain and she'd constantly be 'zoey with a y'. Ruby is my favourite. Classic, not too popular, easy to spell and pronounce and transitions well from baby to child to adult.

GoodVibesHere · 06/10/2023 06:38

Tate is a boy's name, I know two adult males with this name

I'd prob go for Zoe or Rosalie but I'm not that keen on any of them sorry.

wandawaves · 06/10/2023 06:52

I love Maeve and Ruby.
Rosalie is ok.
I don't like any of the others.

Whitewolf2 · 06/10/2023 06:54

Are you in America? I think Zoey with a y is just unnecessary in the uk and she’ll always have to spell her name out.
I like Rosalie, Maeve Thea and Zoe.

lizzaliza · 06/10/2023 07:09

Tate isn't very nice for a girl I don't think.

My favourites would be Rosalie, Juno, Romy or Zoe (spelled like this) - all lovely names!!
