I like Ernest for a boy and Margaret for a girl.

I saw this name recently and loved it - Jessica Robin

I’d avoid Elsie as this is incredibly popular at the minute

You might like them but there’s a reason Bernard hasn’t returned to popularity. Please think of your child being lumbered with some of the names you have chosen

No, they just like names, like people on S&B like trousers.

Don’t be bitchy dear

PerspiringElizabeth · 30/09/2023 12:03

I’d say your girl names in particular are fashionable - I know multiples of each. Old fashioned nowadays would be things like Pamela, Barbara etc. (incidentally both celeb baby names - Lampards and Coren-Mitchells respectively).

Likewise your boy names are quite trendy at the mo although admittedly I only know Ruperts from your list.

No teenage boy will want to be called Herbert. I'd scratch that one.
