Alternatives to Arthur/ Leo/ Josh/ Joshua

We are stuck on names for our baby boy due next year!
He will have older sisters Emma and Maddie... I'm keen for him to have his own 'initial' though so E or M names are out. Ideally also not a name that ends in 'a' or 'ie' (like 'Luca' or 'Freddie') so that their names all sound different IYSWIM.
So far we like Arthur, Leo, or Josh/ Joshua, but for various annoying reasons I'm not sure we can use those names, so would love some alternative suggestions please?! Thank you!

Theo is nice too, maybe a good alternative to Leo. I do like the 'O' ending
How interesting, too, that you both said Jacob! I had slightly discounted that one because it's so popular where we live but maybe I should have another think about it!

Zach is another one I hadn't thought of and really like! Do you think it's a bit out-there compared to the other two though?? And does Zach sound like he might be a bit of a handful (!?!)

Nope, I think Zach is a great name. I had Zachary on my shortlist for DS but went wit my favourite 'Gabriel' (Gabe)

I think Jacob, Oscar, Theo, Finn and Zach, which I see have all been added to your list now, all go really well with Emma and Maddie.

Zach definitely isn't out there. The long form Zachary has been top 50 for a while now.

I am going to throw Milo in the mix. I know it's an M but I have a same first name letter as a sibling and it hasn't really crossed my mind!

My first thought was Theo.

I've also discussed with my husband and he really likes the name Finn so that could actually be a winner! But I am going to mull the other ones suggested as well.

I do love the O ending @whatisthemime ! And I really love the name Milo @SummerHouse - maybe I need to get over the initials thing but for some reason it's always bothered me! I do like O sounds generally. I'm not sure about Jago but open to others!

Thanks @KayEmAy - They are sweet girls- some of the time! I can't wait to tell them they're having a brother (we found out from the NIPT test but we are just waiting for the 12 wk scan to tell the family!)

Finn is such a great name, would be on my list if it didn’t clash horribly with our surname.

@cherryassam I think you're spot on with names with a similar vibe! I absolutely LOVE Kit but a close friend recently pipped me to that one! Ralph is an interesting thought, could be a contender!

Funny that so many think Joseph comes to mind first @Angelmonkey .. i wonder if it's because 'Maddie and..' sounds a bit like 'Mary and...'?!

Having looked at these amazing lists I realise I am either drawn to short, one syllable names like 'Finn' and 'Zach' or to names with O sounds in them. It's been very interesting!

DH has vetoed Oscar and Theo which is a bit annoying, and he and I have both decided we don't love Jacob all that much/ feel it is a bit too popular (there are three in older DD's school that I know of!) And out of the blue DH has announced he likes the name William, which I suggested ages ago and he ignored!

So we are looking at the following shortlist:

Emma, Maddie and Zach
Emma, Maddie and Noah
Emma, Maddie and Alfred/ Alfie
