Why am I so difficult with names?

Hi all. Due my first in November, a little girl.

Everything is ready to go - crib, car seat, clothes, etc. DH and I are literally prepared to have her tomorrow - except for the life of me, I cannot choose a name!

DH has some names he likes but isn’t sold on too, but it seems I’m the one struggling the most. It’s like every name is wrong to me, and I have this insane ability to attach a negative association with any name I hear. I’ve either known someone with the name, or it reminds me of something I don’t like. It would be a talent if it wasn’t so maddening!

Anyone else have this?

Farrah is nice.
But I still think Caroline is a winner. Elizabeth also always a stunning name.

Caroline Elizabeth. Strong, elegant, classy, suits kids and adults. Lovely!

Adeline (addy?)
Harriet (Hattie)
Rosemary (Rose, Rosie)
Mae
Eliza (Ellie, Liza, Lissy)
Lydia (Lydie, Dee)

I like all of these, which is unusual for me on these threads...

Get a big piece of paper. Throw everything you like onto the paper. Go through the lists a veto each others. Ask your respective parents to submit names as well. Consult your family trees for inspiration. They may have beautiful names that you would never have thought of that will somehow feel "right".

I like Caroline out of your choices.
How about Holly? Similar to Hallie/Haley, which you both have. Or Helen/ Helena?

Caroline is great - classic, elegant and unusual right now.

Callie is a really nice nn.

Caroline Hazel
