James - love it, was our top choice both times
Rowan - like it, but Roman, Reuben etc are popular
Jasper - ok, seems a bit of a dog's name
Laurence - not keen.

Rowan but prefer Reuben.

Rowan and James are lovely solid names

Love James, classic and timeless.

I really like Laurie as a nn for Laurence, or on its own.

Rowan is my favourite.

Not so keen on James but love the others.

James is my fave, also love Rowan but prefer it for a girl.

James is great. Jasper is ok, Laurence I’m not keen on and absolutely hate Rowan

Personal order of preference -

Rowan - I just love this name so much. I think it sounds both soft and strong at the same time.

Jasper - perfect cross between classic and cool, it is fun to say and I like that it is spelling intuitive

James - Love that it's one syllable and has always sounded so handsome to me. My only hesitation with this one is while I adore the nickname Jamie, I hate Jim/Jimmy.

Laurence - I'm so sorry, with all respect, I feel so differently about this one than the rest. lol The others are at the top of my list, Laurence is several hundred names down

James! I absolutely adore the name James, but sadly we just know too many of them personally to consider it for a DC.

If it’s useable to you, go with James.

Love James and Jasper. Not keen on Rowan. Laurence is a bit meh and I expect it to be shooting up the charts.

James every time. It's a great name.

Jasper is my favourite, a strong interesting name with a long history, with Laurence a close second.

I'm not keen on Rowan, I prefer it when used as a girl's name.

Thought I loved Jasper but recently met a 12 year old of that name and it so didn't suit him. So I'd think about what your child is likely to look life for that one. All your other choices are pleasant enough, Rowan is nicest of them in my view.

Rowan is my favourite out of those.

Rowan I prefer for a girl but given Roman with an M is so mega trendy at the moment (in the top 20 and still rising) and so similar , I'd avoid it. Jasper I really like. I think I'd pick Laurence.
