Which name do you prefer?

Joseph.

cptartapp · 02/09/2023 18:29

Joseph

Fridaysgirl17 · 02/09/2023 18:32

Funny those were my 2 last choices for my first son we went with Joseph as it has got family ties & it just suited him it has been shortened to Jojo by a lot of people as his nickname & I honestly love it 😁

sixtiesbaby88 · 02/09/2023 18:47

Maybe Jonah?

@jays, his nickname is JJ. Amongst others. He prefers JJ though.

I have an 18 year old son who’s an AJ now! You picked a lovely name combo!

Vexxa · 02/09/2023 21:01

Love both (sorry that's no help!)

KirstenBlest · 02/09/2023 21:31

Joseph. Joshua is ok but he'll be Josh.
Joseph could be Joe, Jos, or Joey.

ExPreschoolTrustee · 02/09/2023 21:33

Joseph

  • my DS is a Joss
Wallabyone · 02/09/2023 21:34

Joseph is a brilliant name! Love it

DavinaTheDreadful · 02/09/2023 21:35

Joseph

MissHoney85 · 02/09/2023 21:36

I love Joseph. Couldn't use it and was gutted. Really underused imo.

Me too! Joshua I'd always loved but unfortunately his Dad didn't so Joseph was the compromise name. Thankfully when I gave birth and he went to phone his Mum she didn't like Joseph and preferred Joshua. Being a Mummies boy he then agreed to call our son Joshua. Only decent thing his Mum's ever done 😂😂😂😂.

neverenoughwine · 02/09/2023 22:24

Joseph!

How about Jason?

WispaBite · 02/09/2023 22:40

Definitely Joseph

Whatsthepoint1234 · 02/09/2023 22:41

Joseph - Joshua seems a bit dated. Lots of Joshua’s/Josh’s in their late teens/early twenties.

Hazelnut9 · 02/09/2023 22:42

I vote Joseph. But Joshua is also lovely.

mrwalkensir · 02/09/2023 22:56

Both are great - plenty of options for shortened version etc. I have a Josh and he is a complete brick.

I loved Joshua, Jayden was in the mix too for us those were out 3 top names, I liked Jayden but my ex partner wasn't such a fan (funnily enough his newest son with OW is called Jayden 🤣). My son was born on my uncles birthday who had passed just before I found out I was pregnant & he was Joe so it felt right to use Joseph & in the end we both loved it & it really suits him, I couldn't imagine him being a Joshua now.

SiouxsieSiouxStiletto · 03/09/2023 09:14

I prefer Joseph. There were a lot of Joshua's born early 2000s and I think it's slightly dated now.

Can I add Josiah to the mix?

FrogletandMe · 03/09/2023 13:10

Joseph. I also like Joel.

faban · 03/09/2023 13:11

All the Josh's I know are so whingy and just general wet blankets. I love the name Joseph/Joe/Joey and they're all great kids/guys

user1492757084 · 03/09/2023 13:35

Joseph and Joe.
Joshua never grows up. It's a Peter Pan name to me.

ThePoshUns · 03/09/2023 13:36

Joseph
I can't say Joshua unless I'm Rachel from Friends annunciation

fourelementary · 03/09/2023 13:38

Joel is lovely or Joseph as Joe is nice. Not Joshua- very dated imo.

Xanadu58 · 03/09/2023 13:43

Joseph
