Baby no.2 name

Currently in first trimester with baby number 2. Have a daughter called Mabel, so will be looking for a name ‘similar’ for either a girl or a boy.

Yes, they are serious suggestions, @FoodFann . They are names that have been popular in the past, so people must have liked them.
Many of them weren't popular 65 yrs ago.

Hilda and Eileen are lovely names, not dissimilar to Matilda or Isla. Scandi and Irish names and 'Granny' names are popular now.

I know a few Nigels, a bit older than me. I don't see anything wrong with it. Hasn't Princess Eugenie got an Ernest?

If someone had told the 18-year old me that names like Arthur, Alfred, Elsie and Mabel were going to come back again, I'd have said no way.
