What are your thoughts on Nathaniel?

Do you know any?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Love it, I know three but two of them are Jewish. In general it’s quite unusual.

RosieProbert · 25/08/2023 19:21

I have one! He's a teenager and he goes by Nate

Rockandgrohl · 25/08/2023 19:21

I love it, don’t know any young ones just a couple in their 20s and 30s love Nate as a nn too

TheIsleOfTheLost · 25/08/2023 19:23

Love it. I know a few amd generally go by Nate or Nat, but one uses full name.

FutureThroughLensOfThePast · 25/08/2023 19:25

"Nathaniel sits on a spike, and I sit on Nathaniel. Two spikes would be an extravagance."

Vexxa · 25/08/2023 19:32

Love it

fiorentina · 25/08/2023 19:33

I have one. Known as Nat. We haven’t met many others and he’s 13.

DisforDarkChocolate · 25/08/2023 19:36

Very lovely name.

JobMatch3000 · 25/08/2023 19:38

It was on my boy list. I had a girl.

MrsCharlieD · 25/08/2023 19:39

Love it! It was on our list with NN Nate. In the end we used it as a middle name but I still really like it.

mamaduckbone · 25/08/2023 19:40

It was on my list - I like it, and like both Nat and Nate. Dh wasn't keen but kind of wish I'd used it as it would really suit my 17 year old!

AbsoluteYawns · 25/08/2023 19:40

Gorgeous name OP.
Traditional but fits in the modern world.

LadyKenya · 25/08/2023 19:40

I have always liked this name. A nice solid sounding name.

RuthW · 25/08/2023 19:41

Lovely

Marmite27 · 25/08/2023 19:42

DC1 has 2 in her class, DC2 has one. I was at uni with one. It’s quite common in my life. I don’t love it. I also struggle to spell it.

CultureAlienationBoredomandDespair · 25/08/2023 19:42

I have one, known as Nate and love it. Not met many others and I love that he can use the shortened or full version when he’s older and both have different vibes.

LeeHarper5 · 25/08/2023 19:42

Love it and I really wanted it for my son but we have a long surname so would’ve been a bit of a mouthful. We settled on Nathan and have Nate as a nick name.

OhLookIveChangedMyNameAgain · 25/08/2023 19:52

I was going to use this for my son too. I would have called him Nate. It was literally 50:50 spilt between the name we chose for him and this, I still sometimes regret not using it. So it’s a yes from me!

35andThriving · 25/08/2023 19:53

It's really nice.

OhLookIveChangedMyNameAgain · 25/08/2023 19:54

Forgot to add, I don’t know anyone with the name. Apart from the character Nate on Emmerdale.

babysharkdoodoodedoodedoo · 25/08/2023 19:55

Love it!

SequinsandStiIettos · 25/08/2023 19:55

Nugg · 25/08/2023 19:56
