Zelda I guess, the roaring 20s association is a positive although Zelda Fitzgerald was a bit tragic

Zadie I think would get mistaken for Sadie / be assumed to be after Zadie Smith / is quite nothingy

Zelie just sounds like a kitchen brand name

zara maybe?

Snoopy98 · 21/07/2023 13:28

Zélie is my favourite (great name!) followed by Zadie and then Zelda

Enforceddrysummer · 21/07/2023 13:32

Zélie is lovely, much better than the other two.

Finlesswonder · 21/07/2023 13:33

i think they all sound a bit west London

ChildrenOfTheQuorn · 21/07/2023 13:44

Zelda!

KirstenBlest · 21/07/2023 14:37

Zelda. I quite like Zena too

ThereIsThat · 21/07/2023 14:40

Zadie is adorable and suitable for a kid or adult. Zelda is great too but very connected with the video game for me. Not that that's a bad thing!
Zelie sounds nice but a bit more wishy washy. I'd not be sure how to pronounce it but I'd guess it was how it looks. It's a sweet name though

So all are good in my opinion. 😄

InstantGratificationDarkPlaygroundOfMN · 21/07/2023 15:06

Zadie is my favourite

I also like
Zoë (but only with the trema/diaeresis)
Zara
Zita

Not keen on Zélie and dislike Zelda.

RitzyMcFitzy · 21/07/2023 16:28

I quite like all of them with Zélie being my favourite (know a very cool French woman with this name)

drawback for Zadie is that it would be constantly misheard as Sadie. Drawback for Zelda would be the continuing popularity of the Zelda video game series. The tragic life of Zelda Fitzgerald wouldn't bother me.

Zaidie.
It sounds great, is very unusual and the association with Zadie Smith is really cool. Great writer.

Nuffaluff · 21/07/2023 16:45

Zadie!

bobby81 · 21/07/2023 17:09

Zadie is lovely

YallaYallaaa · 21/07/2023 18:10

Zadie, very cool.

Zelda doesn’t have great association for me (Fitzgerald, games ect).

Zelie is nice as long as you aren’t fussed with people putting the accent on when written. I know a little Azelie which I like.

Not a Z name, but your list made me think of Vita which is one of my faves.

ArseMenagerie · 21/07/2023 18:11

Biased as I have a Zadie!!!

Rach247 · 21/07/2023 18:11

Zadie.

thedogisstaring · 21/07/2023 18:14

Clearly a generational thing but when I hear Zelda I immediately think of Zelda the witch from the old tv show Terrahawks. It's not a good association!

shame on you and your anti-wrinkly old alien stance.

Mojitosaremyfavourite · 21/07/2023 18:21

Out of curiosity.. why Zadie rather than Sadie?

BlueMoonCity · 21/07/2023 18:23

Zelda is my favourite as a video game nerd Grin

Jongleterre · 21/07/2023 18:43

Wasn't Zelda the old crone from Terrahawks?

user1492757084 · 22/07/2023 09:58

I like Zelie because of Zelie Beach.
I like these Z names in this order ..
Zara
Zena
Zelda
Zelie
Zadie.

modgepodge · 22/07/2023 19:31

Does Zelie rhyme with Kelly? Or with Hayley? I’ve never heard it before.
