Lucy

I always think Leila is a bit slapperish (😬)

OopsieeDaisy · 16/07/2023 22:20

Of the two I’d pick Lucy, agree with some above comments on Leila. How about Lucia?

Whatames · 16/07/2023 22:23

I have a Leila and also a daughter with middle name Lucy. I think they are both lovely. Lucy is more classic and I like the meaning associated with light. I liked Leila because I think it is more of an international name with Arabic origins.

When I first saw this I thought it was Leia which is nice spelling of Leah.

Lucy all the way .. classy and timeless

Roselilly36 · 17/07/2023 05:36

I prefer Lucy, classic & timeless. Only ever known two Lucy’s. Out of my two DS’ only one Lucy in my younger sons class. Leila seems a bit dated. Many congrats OP.

Lucy is nice, Luciana and Lucinda aren't.

RuthW · 17/07/2023 12:19

Lucy is much nicer

ILikeDinosaurs · 17/07/2023 12:27

Leila, also love Leilani. Lucy is boring and common to me :/

Coffeeandcakemum · 17/07/2023 12:32

Disgusting comment. My daughter is a Layla. You can see I’ve posted that on the thread. She is a wonderfully smart beautiful and kind person - who would never think someone is slapperish based on their name. What’s your name? Is that slapperish?
