Margot or Nancy?

Any opinions on Margot or Nancy? Due in a few days 😅.

Also can't decide on a boy name AT ALL.....

If I wasn't ancient and well past babies I would call a little girl Margot

Thanks all! I think we have a winner with Nancy. Let's just hope it's a girl so I don't have to pick a boy name 😆. I think Laurie Arthur will be the boy name though if it is!

Boys name I would say Dylan. Though of course very biased as Dylan Thomas is one of my favourite writers.

Don't like Nancy, so would be Margot if I had to choose between the two.

Nancy is great. Love the name Laurie for boy or girl, it was on my shortlist but vetoed every time by my exH.

Margaux is a nicer spelling imo.

Being honest- I always read it as Maggot! I'm not dyslexic, I just always think of maggots when I read Margot and really dislike it.

Nancy to me is a dowdy spinster in her 80's- but maybe its due a come back?

You might like similar 'older' names like Hazel, Faye, Coral/Coralie and June?

@DustyLee123 yes I do keep saying we should wait and see what name the baby looks like! Maybe it won't look like either 😆.

@YukoandHiro 😂I think of gateaux too and also feel it's a little try hard. Margot seems to be a little love of hate really!

I’m old and Nancy Boy was derogatory slang for being gay. Ie. He’s a a bit of a Nancy boy
