Attention seeking at it's worst there! Wow

It's not attention seeking. Florian is boy name that occurs in Central Europe in countries such as Austria and Germany. It's rare, but it's real and there's saint with name Florian.

Why would it be attention seeking? Just because English people see it as girl name?

I just read this as F1 as in Formula 1 😂 I was thinking Lando, Max, Lewis, Carlos.

As you were 🙈

me too. My thoughts were Sebastian, Jenson, Lando, Lewis, Max ...

SleepingStandingUp · 10/07/2023 09:25

Glad I'm not the only one who thought f1

Flynn is my favorite. Florian is lovely but depends where you live....

I like, in order of preference ..
Flynn
Felix
Fletcher

gotchaw · 10/07/2023 11:46

I've got a Flynn 😊 we (obviously) love it and get lots of compliments. Felix was a frontrunner for us too. Floyd is quite cool, not one I'd considered before! We also really liked Florence for a girl.

There seem to be more Finns/Finleys/Finlays around than Flynns, which was another reason we liked it.

Flavio
Flo Rida
Flulius
Flipflop

RosesAndHellebores · 10/07/2023 11:54

I was going to say Florian. We know two in their early 30s, both with Germanic roots.

I couldn't think of any others.

JanesBlond · 10/07/2023 12:10

Felix or at a push, Finley. Floyd is so, so ugly. Fletcher doesn’t sound like a first name.

Also Finn is nice

KayEmAy · 10/07/2023 16:55

Flint and Flynn <3

JuniperGem · 10/07/2023 17:36

Thank you for all the replies! Flynn appears to be the most popular - I know it's not all about popularity but I want to know the general consensus of strangers so they don't fet bullied. (My partner really likes Aubrey for a boy but I can't imagine that sitting well with most people and I want to spare them any unnecessary pain)

Yes I think Florian wouldn't sound as good with a British accent but beautiful for a small french or italian (?) child maybe...

We actually love F1 hahaha and were at the GP this weekend! (Go Lando & Lewis) But not considering naming after drivers. Lando is quite cool though... I wonder if it will rise in popularity as he continues to succeed? Will be interesting to see.
