Personally dislike all of them, but Xenia and Indigo are usable.

Star81 · 01/07/2023 11:32

I wouldn’t say Saffron or Camila ate very unusual these days ? Also, saffy does make me think of absolutely fabulous x

oldnorsesaga · 01/07/2023 11:33

I like Saffron, Indigo the best
I like sounds of Ayasofia, Sapphie and Emerald, but I'm not huge fan of association with these names.

Newusernameaug · 01/07/2023 11:34

Indigo nn indie - love it
Saffron nn saffy - nah
Serene - nah
Xenia - yes!!!
Lilac nn Lila - too many Lila’s
Ayasofia - nn Aya (eye-ya) - like Aya
Emerald - nn Emmie, so common
Sapphire nn saffy - yes
Camila nn Mila - nah

Isyesterdaytomorrowtoday · 01/07/2023 11:38

Xenia is the only decent one on that list, even then I prefer Xanthe

Namechange828492 · 01/07/2023 11:55

Ayesofia is pronounced like the place in istanbul?

I would swap Emerald for Esmarelda personally

Sapphire is cute

Xenaaa · 01/07/2023 12:11

Yes like Ayasofia in Istanbul

Gateappreciation · 01/07/2023 12:16

Indigo nn indie - quite like
Saffron nn saffy - quite like
Serene - prefer Serena or Serephina
Xenia - dislike
Lilac nn Lila - dislike
Ayasofia - nn Aya (eye-ya) - never heard d of it, she’ll have a lifetime of d pop Ellington it out
Emerald - dislike
Sapphire nn saffy - not sure
Camila nn Mia - prefer Camilia or Camille

Gateappreciation · 01/07/2023 12:16

Spelling it (Ellington?)

RachelNoire · 01/07/2023 12:20

Lilac is awful.

Serene will be a misnomer, what about when she’s crying and screaming? A not like the name Joy always seems to belong to the most misery guts of people.

The list doesn’t strike me as unusual name rather than trying to hard to be unusual which is quite different, sorry.

I dislike all the names with the exception of Camilla and I prefer that spelling too. Camille is even better.

shakeitoffsis · 01/07/2023 12:23

Indigo is best

MerryChristmasToYou · 01/07/2023 12:39

Indigo nn indie - don't like either of them
Saffron nn saffy - ok, but I'm not keen
Serene - not asking much then?
Xenia - ok
Lilac nn Lila - Lilac too try-hard. Lila meh
Ayasofia - nn Aya (eye-ya) - Hiya Sophia!
Emerald - ok, a bit try hard
Sapphire nn saffy - tacky
Camila nn Mila - Camila too Cabello, Mila meh

It seems a strange list, sort of out there and meh at the same time. They'd be Ok as names for a cat

TempsPerdu · 01/07/2023 12:40

Indigo and Saffron are perfectly usable. Not keen on any of the rest, although I’d like Camille as an alternative for Camila and Xanthe as an alternative for Xenia. Serene is just a word to me - Serena is a name.

UsingChangeofName · 01/07/2023 13:07

Not my taste at all, but if your sister wants to call her a colour, there is also Jade that she hasn't mentioned.

seahorsesandmermaids · 01/07/2023 14:54

The only one I truly like on there is Indigo nn Indie.

Saffron is okay.

I prefer Camilla to Camila (I assume Camila is pronounced Ca-mee-la?).
Mila seems really popular at the moment.

Xenia is actually quite pretty, but I did have to look up how to pronounce it.

If she wants to go for a colour theme, there is also Coral or Cerise.

Kaamos · 01/07/2023 14:57

I like Camila

TheBirdintheCave · 01/07/2023 14:59

Xenaaa · 01/07/2023 12:11

Yes like Ayasofia in Istanbul

That would be Hagia Sophia.

I like Saffron or Camila best from her list.

Mumofgirls2017 · 01/07/2023 22:03

Indigo nn indie - indigo is ok, really don’t like indie though
Saffron nn saffy - ok
Serene - much prefer serena
Xenia - if you’re Russian, ok
Lilac nn Lila - ok
Ayasofia - nn Aya (eye-ya) - no sounds made up
Emerald - like
Sapphire nn saffy - like, but some say stripper name
Camila nn Mila - not awful but reminds me of Parker-Bowles and find mila a bit insipid

Michelle97 · 11/07/2023 13:22

Saphhira (suh-fye-ra)

Michelle97 · 11/07/2023 13:22

Sapphira is a biblical name

Congrats!!

Whichwhatnow · 11/07/2023 17:47

I quite like Indigo although Indie (for India or Indigo, which I've heard for both boys and girls) is pretty popular.

I really like Saffron nn Saffy. A childhood friend was called this and was very cool - I haven't heard it since.

Not keen on any of the others tbh. How is Mila pronounced?

MoveOnTheCards · 11/07/2023 17:50

Most of these sound like stripper names.

Camila is ok, but what about Camille to avoid Camilla PB/Queen references?

skire · 11/07/2023 18:37

Love Indigo

TomatoSandwiches · 11/07/2023 19:05

Indigo nn indie prefer Ingrid
Saffron nn saffy good but not unusual
Serene prefer Serena also not unusual
Xenia good, best here but prefer Zelda
Lilac nn Lila awful, sorry.
Ayasofia - nn Aya (eye-ya) ok
Emerald no
Sapphire nn saffy no
Camila nn Mila boring and not unusual.

Calista
Ellasandra
