‘Allaway’.

My daughter’s name definitely doesn’t ‘flow’ right with it (doesn’t sound awful and we loved the first name so used it anyway. Nothing embarrassing or bad about it, just the flow is awkward). Son’s names sound much better.

Wondering what names you think flow well with this surname?

Names ending with a consonant sound (but not L) would flow well imo.

Eleanor
Catherine
Margaret
Elizabeth
Beatrix
Beatrice
Caroline

Margot Alloway works too imo.

I think names ending in an 'a' sound don't flow well so would personally avoid those

A lot of names that are popular at the moment are vowel-heavy and use a lot of the letter 'L' (Ella, Isla, etc) so don't really work with Allaway to my mind. I think something with a lot of consonants that doesn't end in 'a' works best. I would also avoid replicating the short 'a' sound (such as in Hattie or Maggie).

Phoebe Allaway
Kate Allaway
Megan Allaway
Jessamyn Allaway
Sophie Allaway
Vivien Allaway
Rose Allaway
Poppy Allaway
Lois Allaway
Robin Allaway

A lot of old-school names flow well with Allaway, but may not be what you're looking for:
Margaret Allaway
Jane Allaway
Susan Allaway
Elizabeth Allaway (nn Betsy Allaway)
Ruth Allaway
Judith Allaway (nn Judy Allaway)

Anna Allaway will be Anna Rallaway
Ella Allaway will be Ella Rallaway

I'd rule out names like Lily, Ellie, Sally, Isla or too vowelly

I agree that names ending in a consonant sound would work well, like:
Maeve, Grace, Meg, Kate, Rose, Juliet, Jasmine, Jane, April, Carys, Caroline, Charlotte, Florence, Hope, Hazel, Robyn, Rachel, Violet, Iris, Summer
I also think Lucy, Sophie, Zoe, Cassie, Ivy and Sadie sound ok and not too tongue-twistery!

Rose
Maggie (would full name Magdalena be too long?)
Rose
Beatrix
Betsy
Phoebe

I’ve also really surprised myself by loving Judith nn Jude/Judy! Is it ready for a comeback?

Am I weird liking Alana Allaway?

Judith is a fantastic name, and Judy is lovely.

Miriam nn Mimi might go well too.
