Is your name Julia? Do you like it?

DH suggested Julia. I love it too.

BUT

Will she hate me? Is it old fashioned? I don't know any kids called Julia, which is making me worry it's more 'of a certain time'.

Prefer Juliet definitely. Julia is nice though!

I don’t see how this thread helps. Any Julias responding here are going to be decades older than your Julia.

My name is Julia and I love it.
I like how it both looks and sounds. I'm very happy that it's my name.
I prefer it to Julie and Juliet. Julie feels a bit old fashioned and Juliet feels overly fussy.
Julia is 'just right'.

I think Julia is nice. It’s funny how it’s much nicer than plain Julie which is dated.
I only know one Julia and she will be in her 50s now.

Love Julia. Much prettier than Julie IMO, and also I think much nicer than Juliet which for me is too popular. I think Julia is more timeless.

Random fact: Julie Andrews was born Julia but was advised to change her name to Julie for Hollywood. And Julia Roberts was born Julie but was advised to change her name to Julia for Hollywood. That amused me!

I don't like it but one of the nicest children I ever met was a Julia so feel bad about not liking the name.

All the Julias I've taught have been clever, kind, sensible girls. The kind of person you'd hope is your consultant cardiac surgeon one day!
