I am currently 35 weeks pregnant with my third daughter and we are really struggling to pick a name this time round!
My other two daughters names are Esmae Lily and Bonnie Isabella. I like Ruby but is it over used/ too common? My partner likes Rosie but im put off of that for the same reasons.
I like something a little different but nothing too crazy.
Send me some inspiration please😅

Rosie is much more popular than Ruby, but Ruby spiked sharply in the 2000s, and was #1 in 2007 (darkgreener). Now #34

I like Ruby but prefer Rose

usermumnurse · 26/05/2023 18:55

My little girl is called Sienna
We always get compliments and it's not too popular but known so she can get things with her name on :) I had a name growing up where I couldn't get my name on things and it sucked! HmmSmile

I don't know any young Ruby's at the moment. All the old fashioned names seem to be more popular right now. I know one Rosie.

Go for what you love.

HuntingoftheSnark · 26/05/2023 19:35

The only Rubys I know are my daughter's age, mid twenties. It's a nice name and goes with Esmae and Bonnie. Nicer than Rosie although Rose and Rosa would also go.

I love both Ruby and Rosie but I prefer Ruby because it's a bit more grown up and overall very pretty. It's not as popular now at all, I don't know a single Ruby but I know 3 Rosie's.

Speermint · 26/05/2023 21:08

I recently met a little girl called Charis which I thought was lovely and so unusual.

FayCarew · 26/05/2023 21:12

I know an adult Charis- she gets called Tcharris/Sharris a lot and many think she's Carys

I really love both of those names and I think they both sound lovely with the names of your other daughters.

Wait until Baby number 3 comes out and just decide whether she looks more like a Ruby or Rosie. Either way, you can’t go wrong.

Topazbutterfly · 27/05/2023 21:32

I really like Ruby, I think it's a lovely, classic name. Rosie is nice as well. Other name suggestions: Felicity, Celine, Kiera, Violet, Verity, Celeste, Amelie.
