Due baby no2 in a few months and would love some help with a name.

Her middle name will be Karen after my mum as Kate's first and middle name is after ml and my grandmother.

My first thought was Anna but not with Karen as it uses the same vowel sound. I would also avoid anything beginning with a hard C/K sound or ending with an N sound.

Rosa Karen
Elizabeth Karen
Beatrice Karen
Fiona Karen
Eleanor Karen
Isabel Karen
Sophia Karen
Polly Karen

I see you like Alice which would be my top choice. Regret not using it. I also really like Iona.

My first thought was Eliza.
I know sisters Kate and Olivia. Lovely.
I like Isla and Lucy, too.

Kate & Anna
Kate & Emma

PeonyPaws · 26/05/2023 17:16

Lucy was my first thought too. I think a short but fairly traditional name so Alice, Anna, Rose, Emma, Ella would all be nice choices too.

Twazique · 26/05/2023 17:48

My first thought when I read your thread title was Emma!

I also suggest Anna and Zoe.

I wouldn’t worry about it ‘going’ with the middle name, just whether it clashes. I have older children and their middle names never ever come up. We’ll except I checked with my 11 year old the other day that he knew how to spell his middle name (not an English name), only because we walked past a cafe called it though.

Emma is lovely with Kate. I also like Lara, Hannah, Emily or Anna.

Kate and Alice

Love the name Kate. We have an Alice and if current baby was a girl I would be seriously considering Kate. I think they go beautifully together. I'm finding boys names much more tricky.

Other girls names I like with Kate:
Emily
Emma (maybe not with Karen)
Dorothy
Jessica
Lola
