Don't know GoT but like Aria. I wouldn't spell Arya, I think it tips the name from pretty into try hard/made up.

There is one in DDs class so not too unusual, not too common either in my experience.

I like it though I prefer the Aria spelling (unless they're meant to be pronounced differently? I haven't seen the TV show much so I didn't notice any difference).

The "Aryan" thing didn't even occur to me. It's a very different pronunciation anyway and primary-aged children aren't going to know that word.

I wouldn’t worry about Aryan. My first initial is A and at one point my surname was Ryan. My employer at the time gave me the email aryan@…. I didn’t even notice it until someone pointed it out to me. As far as I know, just that one person noticed.

i agree with others in that I prefer Aria or Anya.
