Zero Ada's
One teen Isla. One 20's Islay (pronounced Isla)

2 Islas - one 4, one 8
1 Ada - almost one
Definitely know/hear of more Avas than the above btw.

I know about 10, but they are all age between 9-16

I have an 8 year old Isla, such a beautiful feminine name. She loves her name. Due twin girls (going in for a section tomorrow) and we have agreed to call one of the girls Ada. Another gorgeous name which is rarely heard here. We are based in Northern Ireland xx

No Islas, surprisingly. But round here every girl under 8 appears to be Ada/Ida/Ava/Eva etc.

Snugglemonkey · 27/05/2023 23:23

I do not know v many children under 3, but my son is 6 and there are 30 children in his year group. 5 are called Isla, no Adas. I have not met an Ada since I was a child actually.

I know about 8-10 Isla’s aged 3-10. It’s extremely popular. Only one Ada. I’m based in South Wales but the Ada I know is not.

popsickle555 · 28/05/2023 08:01

Loads of Isla’s across the ages (but mostly 4-11) and two Ava’s. One under 3 and one 10.

Coolblur · 28/05/2023 09:28

Lots of Islas, I'm in Scotland

CharlieBoo · 29/05/2023 15:30

So many Islas, it’s the new Lily.. know two Isla and Ava sibling sets too.

Only know one Ada, who is almost 3, love that name.

owlpacker · 31/05/2023 23:30

I know 2 Adas and 1 Isla under 3 but my daughter has two very close friends, Ada and Ava and I am forever getting their names mixed up so I think that's something to consider that an Ada may be misheard as Ava or confused with one, and I know 5 Avas so certainly where I am there are a lot. Ultimately though, if you love it use it! Good luck!
