Hi,

I'm expecting a baby girl in 3 weeks, after 2 boys.

I'm stuck between 2 names. Please help me decide.

Iris or Indie.

My boys are called Roman & River if that makes a difference. My surname is a common one.

Please help!

Indie goes better with Roman and River and I overall just prefer this name. That being said, Iris is nice too so you can't go wrong.

Roman, River and Indie seem part of a set, Roman, River and Iris just don't blend.

The names don't need to blend. They're individuals not a set.

There were over twice as many Romans born than Iris in 2021. Iris doesn’t sound incongruous with the boys’ names and if she’s asking why her name is different, surely the obvious question is why it doesn’t also start with an R.

I will rephrase

Why do I have a boring flower name when. Brothers have cool names.

Personally I am far from a fan of Iris. And I think the R trend has to be broken but I don't feel strongly about it.

Both are so lovely. Indie goes better than Iris with your son’s names though in my opinion 😊Good luck on the safe arrival of your baby girl!

I have a 2 yr old Iris so I obviously love the name but I actually think I prefer Indie with your boys names.
I would wait till she’s born and see which suits her best, they are both great names.
