We are thinking about Eva-Maria for our baby girl. WDYT?

What would you imagine the parents of an Eva-Maria to be like and what kinds of associations do you have with the name?

We want to call her by both names, is it better to use Eva-Maria, Evamaria or Eva Maria?

I'll post the other names on our list later.

Eve Marie Saint was a huge post war Hollywood star. She's still with us. One of the last Golden age movie goddesses. She'll be 100 next year. So it's a name with class. I prefer Marie to Maria personally.

I technically quite like it but in reality its too close to Ave Maria and also people will only use the Eva bit as she gets older and there are zillions of those. Anna Maria might be better. Never a hyphen, unless you are French. Running them together is naff.

Ave Maria was the first thing I thought of and I’m not Catholic or even religious myself.

How would you pronounce Eva, Eeva or Ayva?
