No associations for me, either good or bad. That could be a good thing in giving you a blank slate, or a bad one because it sounds a tiny bit bland.

It's not awful but also not really a word, imo.

I immediately think of West Side Story.

I think it’s pretty but read it as Maria at first.

Makes me think of Marla Hooch from the film A League Of Their Own. Brilliant character but as she's initially rejected for being too ugly, maybe not a name you'd want for a baby?
