Matilda or Olive; Alexander or Theodorw

Luredbyapomegranate · 27/03/2023 23:29

Matilda Grace Maresa
Ir Charlotte Maresa nn Lottie

Alexander Jude

 • Matilda - I like it but you can’t really have Matilda Maresa. i guess you could have Matilda Grace Maresa
 • Poppy - wet
 • Everly - not a name
 • Grace - nice
 • Lottie - great if short for Charlotte, too nursery on its own
 • Essilie - it’s not a name. Estella?
 • Jessica - nice enough, but even with another name in between Jessica Maresa is awfully twinny
 • Olive - only in a salad

Boys

 • Jude - nice, popular
 • Alexander - ditto.
 • Theodore - done to death
 • Louie - I find it a bit wet but spell it properly - Louis - if you do. Else it looks illiterate
 • Farren - Odd, makes me think of Shelby or other 90s teen movie girl names

Jessica and Alexander

CuteCillian · 27/03/2023 23:51

Whilst I like Poppy for child, I find it hard to use as an adult name.
I choose Matilda from your list, and Alexander for a boy.

methodbehindmymadness · 27/03/2023 23:58

Matilda is lovely

shoopshoopdedoo · 28/03/2023 00:07

Girls - Grace, Jessica, Charlotte (Lottie)
Boys - Alexander

Makingamess4212 · 28/03/2023 00:24

Theodore and Matilda

NBLarsen · 28/03/2023 01:30

Grace Marissa
or
Essilie Marissa

Farren Louie

AmandaMirandaPanda · 28/03/2023 01:48

I love Farren for a girl! I have a friend with this name. Would you consider it? Otherwise I think Grace is my favourite of your girls' list.

Alexander for a boy. Theodore is nice too but very popular. I also like Louie but prefer Louis pronounced like loo-EE; Louie seems like a surname to me.

elodiesmith · 28/03/2023 01:57

Girls

Matilda - everywhere now

Poppy- sorry but the worst sounding name to me. Like popping something. How's this even a proper name??

Everly - nice

Grace- okay

Lottie- don't like it and sounds like a nickname

Essilie - gosh NO. Will be forever repeating it and spelling it
li>
Jessica- really like it
li>
Olive- really like it

Boys

Jude- no plus too popular

Alexander- love it

Theodore- omg please NO. So many teddies, Theos, Teds..

Louie- overdone

Darren- my phone corrected it to Darren. Nope

Suzi888 · 28/03/2023 01:57

Grace
Alexander

peaceinourtime · 28/03/2023 02:27

Lottie or Olive as a girls name. For the boys name Theodore is too common as there are lots of little Theodores about. Jude is probably the best boys name on your list.

Theoldwoman · 28/03/2023 03:22

Grace and Olive

Alexander and Louis

user1492757084 · 28/03/2023 05:10

Names inspired from your list:

Isolde Marissa
Charlotte Marissa
Grace Matilda
Alexander Louis
Louis Alexander
Alexander William

Clettercletterthatsbetter · 28/03/2023 11:13
 • Matilda - nice but doesn’t work with Marissa as the middle name
 • Poppy - don’t like
 • Everly - don’t like
 • Grace - ok
 • Lottie - I think this goes nicely with Marissa
 • Essilie - never heard this name before. Think it’s a bit ‘ss’ heavy with Marissa
 • Jessica - too many Ss with Marissa
 • Olive - it’s ok

Boys

 • Jude - love Jude
 • Alexander - nice, classic
 • Theodore - too trendy for me
 • Louie - like it but only spelled Louis
 • Farren - don’t like
FayCarew · 28/03/2023 11:25
 • Matilda - ok, not unusual
 • Poppy - like,
 • Everly - Yet another Evie, don't like it
 • Grace - ok, might not suit every girl/woman
 • Lottie - like if short for Charlotte
 • Essilie - nn Silly? Awful
 • Jessica - like
 • Olive - not keen, sour little fruit
 • Jude - don't like
 • Alexander - ok, a bit overused
 • Theodore - overused, biring and I don't like it anyway
 • Louie - Louis is ok, Louie isn't
 • Farren - Far and what?
FayCarew · 28/03/2023 11:27

Boring not biring!

17caterpillars1mouse · 28/03/2023 11:56

I actually really like Marissa. What about Marissa as the first name?

From your list I'd choose Jessica or Olive

From your boys list I like Jude or Alexander (especially is shortened to Sasha)

mumonherphone · 29/03/2023 19:53

Not keen on Matilda Marissa together, essilie everly or farren.

The rest are all OK but Olive and Louie are my favourites.

fairycupcakes · 29/03/2023 23:51
 • Matilda
 • Poppy Marissa
 • Everly Marissa
 • Grace Marissa
 • Lottie Marissa
 • Essilie
 • Jessica
 • Olive Marissa

These would be your options that go with Marissa as a middle name.

Of those options Poppy and Everly would be my favourites. I never understand why people can’t see Poppy as a name on an adult woman - I know several and it suits them well and is not in any way childish. It’s a lovely name.

 • Jude
 • Alexander
 • Theodore
 • Louie
 • Farren

My favourites here are Jude and Alexander, in fact Jude Alexander would be a great name!

Good luck OP x

Train007 · 29/03/2023 23:54

Olive and Louis would be my choice, hands down !

TomatoSandwiches · 30/03/2023 20:57

Matilda, Alexander or Jude would be my choices from the list.

SunhatsAndFlipFlops · 30/03/2023 21:00

Lottie - it goes well with Marissa
Louie for a boy
