names that aren't lacklustre or pretentious etc

My name is very unusual so I'm finding myself drawn to safe names for DD, however!!! On my previous name post about my list of names I like the initial responses were about the names being lacklustre/pretentious etc. Which has opened a curiosity in me.

I would like to get some suggestions of girls names that you like that aren't as play-it-safe as my original list which is: Anna, Annie, Emma, Emily, Alice.

I actually like all the names on your original list. I suppose Annie (as a full name) is the most unusual of the bunch, but it's not so out there that nobody will have heard of it or know how to spell it.

Adore Anna - classic and very international, and what's "lacklustre" about a cool palindrome to boot.

But your other choices are nice classics too (well maybe Annie's a bit trendy).

As for "non -pretentious" - I'd guess maybe that refers to names that are well known but have never been super popular? ("lacklustre" perhaps meaning top 50 or so/ commonplace?) .
