Dagnija is a common name in Latvia, I’ve not met any in the UK

Is it pronounced 'Dah-nia'? If so, that's quite nice. Wouldn't like it if pronounced phonetically.

I know a Daghni pronounced Darg-knee, I think it's a really pretty name but I'm not so sure about Daghnia. It sounds like a plant.

I knew one growing up in Denmark. And also a Dagny as has been mentioned.

I dont mind it as a name its not one I'd use but I like it better than some of the top 10 names.

My issue is always how harsh g gets said in English.

For the two i knew best phonetic would be

Dahv ou (not quite right I'm struggling to find the soft y sound)

In most English speaking places it becomes
