Was my #1 choice for a boy (and that nickname) but husband didn't like it.

I still love that name. Shame husband didn't 😞

I sway between loving it and thinking Nicolas/Nicholas sounds a bit too dweeby :(

Neco is also an acceptable spelling, if you prefer?

OP it’s a great name, not sure why it seems some PP don’t get Nico, I know 2 men called Nicolás (long a vowel sound) from South America originally, they go by Nico and 99% of the time people in UK get it right. Very occasionally you will get someone pronouncing it Nicko
