Pippa

I absolutely love Pippa but I'm not sure I would want it as a full name. I quite like Penelope but I'm not sure if it would shorten to Pippa well. I also very much dislike Philipa. Any suggestions? X

Some people are so cruel. If your name is Pippa and people call you Peppa Pig or Pippa Pig that's a reflection on them! I have a friend called Gayle and she got gay gay growing up. It hasn't harmed her and kids can make nicknames out of anything! The important thing is you teach your children to be kind!

People used to get Peggy and Meg from Margaret as a nickname, so I'm sure you could get away with Pippa from Penelope if you really dislike Phillippa.

I think Pippa is nice, but I’d definitely presume it was short for Philippa. I think if you’ll never use Penelope, just go with Pippa as the full name.

Will name my daughter Penelope and nickname her Pippa, Pip and Petal.
